Kids’ ear piercing, done gently
A first piercing is a big milestone. At Stacks by Syd it happens in a calm, private studio — one family at a time, no mall crowd, no piercing gun. Just a single-use sterile needle, implant-grade titanium, and as much time as your child needs.

Why a needle instead of a piercing gun?
- A hollow needle makes a clean opening; a gun forces a blunt stud through the tissue.
- Every needle is sterile and used once. Nothing is reused between clients.
- Placement is marked and checked first, so both ears sit level.
- Flat-back titanium studs are comfortable to sleep on and have no butterfly back to trap dirt or poke.
What to bring
- The child's birth certificate.
- The parent or legal guardian's photo ID.
- A parent or legal guardian, who stays for the whole appointment.
- For little ones: a favorite show, toy or comfort item.
- A child who has eaten recently and knows what's happening today.
Kids’ ear piercing questions
What age do you pierce children's ears?
From babies upward. Ages 0–14 are lobe piercings only; teens aged 15–17 can book any piercing on the menu. A parent or legal guardian books the appointment and stays for all of it.
Do you use a piercing gun on kids?
No — never. Every piercing is done with a single-use, sterile hollow needle. It's more precise than a gun, gentler on the tissue, and the jewelry is implant-grade titanium rather than a butterfly-back stud.
What do I need to bring to my child's ear piercing?
The child's birth certificate and the parent or legal guardian's own photo ID, for every age under 18. For little ones, a favorite show, toy or comfort item helps a lot.
How much does kids' ear piercing cost?
Ages 0–8 are a flat $100 piercing fee for the visit, with a saline spray bottle included free. From age 9, lobes are standard pricing: $30 for one or $50 for a pair.
What if my child changes their mind or gets upset?
That's completely fine, and it happens. Syd will pause or stop if it doesn't feel right to continue — your child's comfort and safety come first. For ages 0–8, a $20 fee applies for the time reserved if the piercing can't be completed.
How long do kids' ear piercings take to heal?
Lobes take about 6–12 weeks. Clean them with sterile saline twice a day, keep little hands off them, and leave the starter jewelry in for the whole healing period.
