How long does a midi piercing take to heal?
Expect around 3–6 months, depending on how much cartilage the placement touches. Clean it with sterile saline twice a day and otherwise leave it alone.

- Watch for snagging on masks, glasses arms and hairbrushes.
- Plan on a post downsize around 2–3 months, once the initial swelling has fully settled — a shorter post stops the jewelry from catching and tilting.
